Faith And The No List Virus

Search For God

The No List Virus is spreading rapidly at retail store check out counters across the country. Common responses to customer questions by store clerks are a follow:

1. No, you can’t use that coupon. It has expired.

2. No, that item is not on sale. I don’t care what the store flyer says.

3. No, we don’t carry that here.

4. No, we can’t order it for you.

5. No, you can’t order less than a pound.

6. No, the manager is not available.

7. No, you can’t have 2 flavors of ice cream in the small cup.

8. No, I can’t do that.

9. No, I won’t do that.

10. No, you can’t substitute one item for another.

My fellow Americans, I beseech you, is this any way to run a country? What ever happened to customer service? What ever happened to faith in our fellow man or woman? What ever happened to the Yes List? What ever happened to Gods commandments to be kind and caring?

Yes List items that have been excluded include:

1. Yes, I would love to carry your packages to the car.

2. Yes, I can help you find that.

3. Yes, I can sell you half a loaf.

4. Yes, we can order that in your size for you.

5. Yes, you can have 2 flavors of ice cream in the small cup.

6. Yes, The manager will be right with you.

7. Yes, you can substitute that item for the other one.

8. Yes, you can buy less than a pound.

9. Yes, you can use that coupon even though the expiration date was last week.

10. Yes, I will be happy to do that for you.

Corporate Gurus wake up. Where is your faith in your customers? Where is your customer service? How about making the world a friendlier place to live in? Where is your faith in God?

As you can see, I have been having some problems in retail stores lately, how about you? How about being a little kinder when it’s your turn to say yes or no? How about having a little faith in your fellow man or woman? You do want to be considered a person of faith, don’t you?

Please help us get rid of the No List Virus. How about a return to civility? The world may be watching. It’s not just the overhead cameras in retail stores that you have to worry about, God may be watching too.

Expressions Of Faith

Search For God

Did you know that each and every one of us has their own unique way of expressing their faith in God? Some of us verbalize it and some of us express our faith through our actions. Most of us do both. But how often have you written down an expression of your faith and shared your prose with family and friends? I encourage you to do so. It could make them and you feel wonderful.

Writing down you feelings can have a therapeutic effect on your psyche. It can be a source for you revealing to yourself your innermost thoughts. You might be surprised at what strong feelings of faith you really have. Just strip away your inhibitions and let your imagination take over.

Writing down your feeling of faith can be a way to memorialize for your children what you are all about. It is something they can refer to and share with their children so they too will have an idea of your innermost feeling of faith in God. Don’t miss the opportunity to let everyone you care about know how you feel. It could help make them stronger. It could help make them happier. Seize the moment and write down your expression of faith.

It is up to you to pass your word along. It is up to you to let those you hold dear know how you feel. It is up to you to pass your feelings of faith along. It’s time to express your feelings of faith in God in writing.

Ten Magical Keys To Finding Your Faith

Search For God

I have a Magic Genie friend named Glorious. He has taught me a lot about finding my faith. Glorious has revealed to me 99 Magical Keys to finding faith. In a spirit of kindness and caring that Glorious has instilled in me, I thought I would share ten of the Magical Keys with you.

Couldn’t you use a little more faith today? Sometimes it takes a little magic to believe in what we cannot see or understand.

1. Caring about others is a Magical Key to finding your faith.

2. Remember that only God has the right to sit in judgment.

3. Try and do something worthwhile with your life.

4. Have the grace to share your faith and learn to express it.

5. Have forgiveness in your heart for your fellow human beings.

6. Take responsibility for your own actions.

7. Be willing to repent for your sins.

8. The most meaningful thing you can do is to have faith in God.

9. Have faith that God loves you.

10. Your state of mind will determine how easy it will be for you to find your faith.
Glorious has taught me many more Magic Keys to finding faith, but he has advised me not to overwhelm you with too many things to do all at once. I think that makes sense, don’t you? Oh, I almost forgot, Glorious told me that making sense of what you do is an important Magical Key to finding your faith. I guess that’s number eleven, but Glorious never said I had to be a mathematician to try and help you find your faith. What about you, are you spending too much time counting up what you have done to find your faith, and not enough time relying on your faith in God? Are you searching for God?

Startling New Evidence That God Exists

Search For God

A gallant band of true believers, operating in total secrecy, have uncovered proof positive of the existence of God. These faithful searchers have been inspired in their search by documents handed down through the ages such as the Bible, but their discovery of God’s existence was enabled by one of the oldest methods available to mankind.

The search for God’s existence, which was not aided by computer models or modern technology of any kind, relied almost wholly on the most primitive of human skills and abilities – the ability to think.

Buried in the deepest recesses of the human mind, this faithful group of searchers for God’s grace found the answer to the most important mystery of our universe. How we got here and how we can prove that God is real.

They have determined that each human being has been instilled by our Creator with a special gene that acknowledges that God exists. It is up to each and every one of us to strip away our inhibitions and unlock our imaginations so that we may recognize and accept the existence of God.

This is not the stuff of fabled theories, or the ranting of some fanatical group. This is the inherent craving of man’s desire to find God, which has been genetically instilled in us by the Almighty Himself.

The millions of people who do believe in God have made this fantastic and miraculous discovery possible. The proof is irrefutable.

Do not doubt the proof. The proof is within you. God exists and is always with you.

Searching For God Stories – The Real Story

Search For God

We all want to be inspired in one-way or another, don’t we? It struck me one day that what I was really trying to do by writing articles was to inspire people, myself included, to search for God.

Sometimes you have to take some quiet time to review what you are doing with your life. When I did, it hit me. I was searching for the God of my dreams in my own way. Doesn’t everyone search for the God of his or her dreams in their own way?

I started reading through all the articles that I had written and came to the conclusion that they all had the central themes of searching for God, finding faith, and becoming inspired to become a person of faith.

I guess to some people these things come naturally, but in my case it has always been a struggle to develop a strong belief in God. I have found that it gets easier over time as my needs become greater, and the realization of my own mortality becomes more self-evident.

I find it more and more important to try and do something relevant, something that will help other people and thus make me feel better. That’s what moved me to create a short book out of my many articles. I call them the “Search For God Stories.” I hope they will help inspire you to find more faith, and to make your search for the God of your dreams a success. I hope they will help you find peace of mind. I hope they will make you feel wonderful.

You can add your own expression of faith to this free e-book to help us all in our search for God if you wish. You can find out how to do so in the book. Wouldn’t you like to become a famous published author?

Hurry, God and your friends and family may be waiting to hear what you have to say!

God Isn’t Smashing The Daisies

Search For God

Taking God’s name in vain is a little like a giant trampling fields of daisies with his feet. It is a futile act that can only end with the offender loosing his footing. Don’t blame God for your problems. It isn’t his fault that you are not following his message of kindness and caring. Don’t take God’s name in vain by trying to blame Him for your own lack of faith. You can’t really believe in God if you don’t believe in yourself. It’s time to start taking responsibility for your own actions and stop trampling the flowerbeds by putting you foot in your mouth and saying that It’s God’s fault that that I have this problem.

We can’t blame God for all the problems that we inflict on ourselves. We can however implore him to help us overcome our problems. The way to do this is to have faith that God is always with us: that he knows our weaknesses, and that He is there to help us overcome them.

Think of God’s mercy and kindness as being as abundant as flowing fields of wild Yellow and White daisies blowing gently in the wind. Let His spirit inspire you and give you the inner peace of mind that you are striving for. Walk gently through the fields of daisies. Don’t trample your true feelings of faith. Allow yourself to believe in God’s kindness and mercy. Allow yourself the best chance you will ever have to solve your problems. Allow yourself to find God’s grace.

GRANDMA’S SECRET POTION OF FAITH

Search For God
Grandma Jenny had a secret way of communicating with God

Grandma Jenny slipped shoveling snow off the front steps of our home in the midst of a fearsome snow storm at the age of ninety-six and broke her hip. She was a feisty little woman who weighed only ninety-five pounds and stood four feet-nine inches tall. The shovel was bigger than Grandma. You might wonder why she was out shoveling snow early in the morning at her advanced age, but it was part of her stubborn and cantankerous nature. And it was a part of her tradition. She didn’t want my father going to work and getting his feet wet in the snow. It was a matter of respect for the man of the house. It was a matter of faith in her traditions. It was her way.

Grandma was from the old country – Russia to be specific. She came to the United States as a girl of fourteen traveling for fifteen days on a tramp steamer, and surviving on bread and water. She lost her provisions, her money, and her clothes on the trip over to thieves that hounded naïve, unsuspecting young girls such as her as a normal part of refugee voyages in those days. Most people though it was the work of greedy members of the crew. She arrived in this country penniless and literally with only the clothes on her back. But nothing could stop Grandma from making a new life in the land of her dreams, or bringing with her the rituals and traditions that were an innate part of her heritage, her faith in God, and of her very being.

Until she slipped and broke her hip, Grandma Jenny had always been healthy. None of us in the family could remember her having a cold. She attributed her good health to a secret potion of Elderberry Brandy that she distilled in the attic of our Georgian Colonial House. I have no idea where she got the Elderberries from or how she prepared the brew. We were never allowed up to her special place in the attic to see what she was doing. Everything that Grandma did was a secret.

Grandma had a shot of the special potion when she woke up in the morning and when she went to bed at night, that much she told us. To the best of my knowledge it was the only medicine she ever took. On rare occasions such as holidays and birthdays, we were all invited to join her for a sip of her Elderberry Brandy. I was allowed to participate from the time I was a teenager. Boy did that stuff pack a wallop. It is no wonder that Grandma was never sick. The brandy must have killed the germs. My dad didn’t really like it. He was a scotch man. My mother struggled to swallow it. She didn’t drink. We all participated in the ritual. No one in the family was about to insult Grandma Jenny. She was too tough a cookie to be trifled with. Grandma Jenny always said a prayer to got in her native tongue before taking a sip of her special potion. It was her way of communicating with God.

On one of the rare occasions when Grandma Jenny bothered to talk to me, communication was a problem since she spoke only Russian; I asked her what was so special about the secret potion? She sort of half smiled at me indicating that when I was more mature I would understand, pointing at my head. Grandma was great at the universal language of hand signals. I do understand a little Russian, but I don’t speak the language. Fortunately for me Grandma did understand English except when she chose to pretend that she didn’t. Even the dog understood Russian because Grandma fed him and he didn’t speak at all. When she called him to come and get it in Russian, he came running. No one disobeyed Grandma. The dog was a huge Boxer named Slugger. It was amazing to see him cower in front of my Grandmother, and wait for her command allowing him to eat. He sure didn’t act like that with my father or me. He once jumped up on my Dad and pushed him so hard that he fell down and dislocated his shoulder. Slugger wouldn’t dare jump up on my Grandma. The dog knew better.

After Grandma passed away, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was so special about her secret potion and how to make it. Grandma wasn’t big on measurements or recipes. She insisted that you just add a little bit of this and a little bit of that. This was the way she talked when someone wanted to know how to make her yeast coffee cake or her saffron laced ginger-carrot candy. Unfortunately the secrets died with her.

I think I finally have the answer when it comes to her secret potion. It wasn’t the herbs that she added. It wasn’t how high the alcohol content was. It was the love with which she made it and dispensed it to the whole family. It represented to her a melding of old traditions and new rituals. It symbolized her faith in God, and the respect she had for our family and our Country. It was a way for her to celebrate her freedom. It was her way of communicating her faith to God in a language of kindness and caring that we could all understand.

Sometimes when I sip a little brandy late at night to help calm me from the stress of the day and the threat of terrorism or natural disasters, I wonder, couldn’t we all use a little of Grandma’s secret potion to help us through these troubled times? The commercial stuff doesn’t seem to be doing the trick anymore. It lacks the tradition of caring, kindness, and love necessary to make it a special brew. It lacks that personal faith-filled touch of Grandma Jenny. It doesn’t have her tenacious character or her will to survive. It lacks respect.

There are some things that you can’t put in a bottle, smack a label on, and expect to work miracles. Sometimes you have to find the right ingredients in your own heart. Sometimes you have to distill them yourself. Sometimes the secret potion of faith is within you. Sometimes it will show you how to communicate with God.

Chasing Jesus

Search For God

I woke up feeling shaky, and with that same old fear making me sweaty. I guess I had been dreaming again about whether or not I’d ever get to Heaven. I’m not getting any younger and thoughts of death and Heaven seem to be more on my mind lately.

Christian scholars and Ministers are constantly preaching that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus. Unfortunately for me I guess, I’m not Christian. I am as you may have deduced Jewish. Is there no other path to God? I accept a Christian’s right to find God through Jesus, but what about me?

What would the difference be if I were Muslim or Buddhist? I would still have the same problem. It seems the Christian World thinks my way to Heaven is blocked. I don’t want to be blocked. I want a shot at getting to Heaven just like everyone else. Do you think the fact that I am not Christian makes me a bad person in the eyes of God? Do you believe God cares how I believe in him as long as I do? I think God wouldn’t have given us the right to make choices about how we have faith in the one Supreme Being if he didn’t love us all, and wasn’t willing to accept us all into Heaven.

I’ve had people try to convert me to Christianity including a daughter who has, and a son-in-law who converted her. I come close to seeing the light, but something always holds me back. Some instinct I suppose, some quirk of my nature, which restrains me from abandoning my traditions and beliefs and keeps me from making the big leap. Why can’t life be simple and easy? I guess it can if all you have to do is to follow your traditions and beliefs. But I wasn’t born in to a Christian family, and my traditions and beliefs are different except when it comes to believing in one Supreme Being, the one God.

Yet it seems to me that I have been spending much of my life chasing Jesus. Like many others, I want to believe. It would make my life so much easier. It would give me instant peace of mind. But my heritage and tradition keep me from following the path of Christ, although I do not dispute the wisdom of his teachings. I consider him a great prophet. I simply cannot deny the teachings of my own religion and my personal beliefs. Jesus was Jewish, wasn’t he? God in his wisdom must have known what he was doing.

When I find myself torn by these feelings of misgivings I usually turn to a Magic Genie Faith Builder friend of mine named Glorious for advice. It’s my way of unlocking my imagination so that I can catch a glimpse of what is going on deep down in my soul. I invented Glorious to help me find my faith. That’s why he is a special type of Magic Genie. He is not your typical make a wish Genie. They are old-fashioned. He is the newer model # AEEF – 3 (After everything else fails for the third time). He is a Faith Builder. I use him as my faith patch – the symbol of my faith in God.

My best friend Glorious tells me it’s all right to believe in God any way I want. He feels that we were all made in Gods image, and he must have known what he was doing when he gave us the ability to worship him in our own way. Glorious tells me I am a good and worthwhile person who is entitled to have faith in God in my own way. I find comfort in this, but still worry that I will wake up tomorrow morning shaking in fear and in a cold sweat. When will I finally be secure in my faith? I know that others would answer this question for me, but I feel I must find my own answer, my own faith.

Sometimes I’m not sure whether I am chasing Jesus or running away from him. Either way I have faith that God will understand. I am not running away from God. What I really am doing is chasing after my faith. I am trying to hold on to it as best I can. Do you have enough faith to help you wake up without fear? Do you have enough faith to give you peace of mind? Do you have enough faith to believe in what you cannot see or comprehend? You can if you believe in yourself and in God any way that you think is right for you. Let’s stop worrying and arguing about whose way to worship God is the right way. Let’s concentrate on having faith in the Almighty. Coming together in our common faith in God is a better way to find grace in the eyes of the Lord. Couldn’t we all use a little more faith today?

Sometimes I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Isn’t being a good and worthwhile person who cares about others, does good works, and believes in God enough? I hope so. I have this urge to express the fact that I am a Person of Faith too. I think we all are entitled to declare ourselves people of faith. What about you, couldn’t you use a little more faith today to help you cope with the troubled times in which we live? Wouldn’t you like to be able to declare yourself a Person of Faith? You can if you just have faith, and believe in God in any way that seems right to you. Be a faithful servant of the Almighty and find your own way to God. It helps I think, in this respect, to follow family traditions, rituals, and beliefs. But I believe that any way you choose to have faith in God will be the right way for you. You have the right to choose. You are entitled to be a Person of Faith. My best friend Glorious the Magic Genie, my faith patch, told me so.

You Are A Winner

Search For God

I went to the corner stationary store this morning to buy a newspaper. I noticed a group of people buying all kinds of quick pick lottery tickets. They were spending a lot of money trying to get a winner. They seemed to be in a frenzy to get a winning ticket even if it only won them a small fraction of what they were betting. This doesn’t make any sense to me. Why try so hard to be a winner? You already are in God’s eyes.

One Rainy Day

Search For God
One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my daughter Aspen spoke up from her relaxed position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."

This announcement usually meant she had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all
that her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain!" she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond. "That's really good, Aspen."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl take
this revelation? So I asked... "Do you notice how the rain
keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer:

"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."
I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.

Isn't it distressing to know that when you forward this message you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they
will think of you for sending it to them.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

In order to see the Rainbow, you must first endure some Rain.

I'm Sick of It

Search For God

I'm tired of hearing liberal democrats mouthing weak change your mind every day points of view and corrupt republicans enacting policies that are only good for the very rich. My God there must be a better choice than this. Where have all the statesman gone? I think its time that all our political representatives stop saying they are people of faith and start acting like they are. I hope over the summer break they will all take up a search for God's words of wisdom and stop messing with the common peoples minds.

How to Send an E-mail to God

Search For God

A lot of us want to have more faith and get closer to God. The question is how do we do this? Maybe we should, strip away our inhibitions, unlock our imaginations, and send an imaginary e-mail to God.

Maybe you could send God an imaginary e-mail in the form of a prayer. After all, God is always interested in hearing our prayers, isn’t he? It is not the type of thing that you have to worry about him opting into. God is always listening.

How would we start? Perhaps the subject line could read, “Dear God hear my prayer.” No I am afraid that would be too long. How about, “Prayer to God” That might do the trick nicely and we would have no fear of spamming the recipient.

I think it is best to leave any request for help to the body of the text. What would you like to ask for? Good health is often a way to go, but I think you need to get more personal and specific then that.

How about telling God that you are tired of patching yourself together with temporary quick fixes to control your weaknesses like smoking, eating, or drinking too much? That should get Gods attention, don’t you think?

I wonder what God would say in an answer to us? Maybe he would tell us to stop trying to patch ourselves together and find more faith so that we could be strong enough to overcome our weaknesses with his help. Maybe we could use our imaginations to develop our own personal faith patch to replace all those other temporary patches and help us deal with our problems. Maybe we could use our faith.

You don’t have to worry about the address or click on the send button in this imaginary e-mail. I believe that God is always interested in hearing our prayers no matter what form they take.

Are you ready to send a message of faith to God?

You don’t have to worry about sending this e-mail to the wrong address because God is always with us and has a universal address. You don’t even have to type out this e-mail on your word processor. You can just think it.

Whatever you do, try and rely on your faith in God to help you overcome your weaknesses. Stop trying to patch yourself together. Try and find more faith so that you can learn to cope with your personal problems and the troubles of our time like terrorism and natural disasters.

Don’t forget to leave your personal signature in your e-mail to God. It’s not that he doesn’t know who you are; it is just that he may be waiting to hear that you are becoming a Person of Faith. It might help for you to mention this in your signature block.
An example could read something like this:

Your name
Statement that you are becoming a Person of Faith
Statement that you believe in God
Your e-mail address (unnecessary)
Your telephone number (unnecessary)

God knows where to find you.

Are you ready to stop patching yourself together?

Are you ready to become a Person of Faith?

Are you searching for God? Hurry, He may be waiting to hear from you. Send Him an e-mail.

Lost and Found

Search For God

I lost a package on the bus yesterday and for a while I was really upset. Then I realized that there was nothing in that package that was going to change my life. I guess it’s a little like losing ones faith and then finding it again. You have to realize that believing and having faith is more important than the loss of material possessions. As long as you have faith the rest of the world will take care of itself. Please continue your search for God. It is more important than looking for lost packages.

Smashing Daisies

Search For God

Taking God’s name in vain is a little like a giant trampling fields of daisies with his feet. It is a futile act that can only end with the offender loosing his footing. Don’t blame God for your problems. It isn’t his fault that you are not following his message of kindness and caring. Don’t take God’s name in vain by trying to blame Him for your own lack of faith. You can’t really believe in God if you don’t believe in yourself. It’s time to start taking responsibility for your own actions and stop trampling the flowerbeds by putting you foot in your mouth and saying, “It’s God’s fault that that I have this problem.”

The Real Story Behind Searching For God

I will tell you how to get the book for free in a few weeks.

Inspiration Or Faith – Which Comes First?

Search For God

Do you start out with faith in God or do you have to be inspired to search for Him? Where does the inspiration to believe in God come from? It seems everyone has an answer, but which answer is right?

I believe it depends on who is asking the question. If you are a person that is well grounded in your religious beliefs then faith probably comes first. If you are searching for God, then perhaps you need to be inspired to help you find your way.

I like to believe that we are all inspired to find our faith in God. To me it is a natural human instinct perhaps facilitated by an inborn genetic code or gene. I like to believe that the inspiration to find God comes from the Almighty Himself.

I think the inspiration comes from our need to experience God’s grace, to find inner peace, and to develop a sense of serenity. I think it comes from our need to seek God’s help in coping with our problems. I think it comes from a desire to believe that there is something more to our lives than the short span of our own mortality. I think it comes from a need to be assured that there is a Heaven.

Whatever inspires us to find our faith in God; the fact is that we do have the need to believe. Most of us have to believe in a higher power to make our lives tolerable. We want to have faith because it helps us achieve inner peace of mind. We are inspired to have faith because we want to succeed in our journey to find God.

May God grant us the strength and the inspiration and the faith to succeed in our search on a journey that never ends – the search to find God.

God and Air Conditioning

Search For God

Where To Go Next To Find God

Search For God

I think the place to go next is to the heart of the matter. How do you know there really is a God? Who amongst us hasn’t asked that question? Let’s try and find an answer together. Let’s attempt to establish some proof positive. Let’s try to prove the existence of God by eliminating the alternatives. Let’s ask ourselves some questions:

1. Who else but God could have created the universe?
2. Who else could have given us the ability to reason and to talk?
3. Who else could have given us the desire to believe in God?
4. Why else would we want to have faith in one Supreme Being?
5. Why else would miracles happen?
6. How can we believe in the future without faith?
7. How can we believe in ourselves if we don’t believe in God?

The answer to all these questions is to take the ‘little leap’ of faith that God is real and He is always with us.

Ask yourself the question: do you believe you could go on living a worthwhile life without faith in God? Could you find happiness without faith? Could you feel secure without faith that God would protect you from the dangers you live with? Could you have peace of mind without knowing that God was watching out for you?

But questions aren’t answers or proof positive, are they? The fact is the proof is in believing. The proof that God exists lies in our willingness to believe that he does. The proof lies in what we truly believe in our hearts and minds. It resides in our imagination. It is a matter of faith.

Take the ‘little leap’ of faith that makes you believe that God exists and is real. Get inspired to find God.

Once you accept God in your heart as a matter of faith, you will know what direction to take next. You will know to follow your instincts.
You will know to take a direct path to God. Your faith will be proof positive that God exists. Please keep searching to find your faith in God.

Genetically Predisposed to Faith

Search For God

Have you ever wondered how much faith you really have? If you are like me there have been times in your life when you question how much faith you have: times when you doubt your ability to cope with personal difficulties, and times when the threat of terrorism or natural disasters feels overwhelming. This is the time to strip away your inhibitions and use your imagination to find more faith.

We are all genetically predisposed to have faith. It is a gift from God. The instinct to have faith is as strong as our will to survive. It is in fact part of our survival mechanism. Without faith we do not have the courage to go on. Without faith we have no hope. Without faith we cannot fulfill the promise that is within each of us to do something worthwhile with our lives. That is why God instilled in us the need to have faith.

Your imagination is a reflection of what your subconscious mind or soul is thinking. These thoughts creep into your mind when you first wake up or interject themselves into your thinking at odd times of the day with seemingly no reason or continuity to what you were doing of thinking about. Don’t discount these thoughts out of hand. Don’t let years of rigid adherence to a particular way of thinking stop you from finding more faith. Don’t let it stop you from finding new ways to get more faith. I don’t believe that God cares about labels. I think it’s what is in your heart that counts.

When you strip away your inhibitions you will discover that you are a good and worthwhile person who is entitled to have faith. You are entitled to feel good about yourself. God gave us our imaginations, which allow us to worship him in any way that we believe is right. God in his infinite wisdom gave us the right to make choices. He must have known what he was doing.

Try and strip away your inhibitions and imagine how wonderful it would be to have faith in the Almighty without any preconditions. Try and imagine that God in his wisdom allows the natural evolution of nature to take its course as part of the creation of his grand design. Try and believe in that which we cannot see or understand. Try to use your imagination to listen to the words of the Lord so that you may begin to understand.

Are you deep down in your heart a faith seeker? Do you hunger to have more faith? Are you willing to strip away your inhibitions and use your imagination to help you find more faith in the one Supreme Being? You don’t have to be hesitant anymore. You are not alone in your quest to find more faith. You don’t have to be afraid to have your desire to become a person of faith exposed. We are all stripped naked in the eyes of God. We are all creatures of his divine creation. We can all become people of faith. We can all learn to express our faith in God.

Immigration – Using God’s Inspiration To Solve The Problem

Search For God

Is our current Immigration open door policy providing a fertile hunting grounds for terrorists or is the spirit of “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” still alive and well in God’s country?

Talk about “huddled masses”, what do you call twelve million illegal immigrants? Is this what the poet Emma Lazarus had in mind when she used the term?

I have an idea, why don’t we just impose a huge illegal immigrant tax. We could probably eliminate our national debt in no time at all. The only problem with this self defeating strategy is that then no one would want to come to this country. Perhaps we should make it a both ways border tax. That way we could charge these illegal immigrants coming and going. There is nothing illegal about that is there?

We could also double the minimum wage, in which case the farmers might automate and eliminate the need for cheap labor. Our food prices would rise, inflation would set in, unemployment would grow, and our own citizens might become more willing to take low paying jobs again, thus eliminating the need for immigrants altogether except from a ‘ do the right thing’ point of view. What about granting them all amnesty? Amnesty from what? I thought everyone has a right to pursue the American dream. What does a guest worker program mean? I thought you had to live here to work here. So many choices, it is hard to know which to choose

Perhaps if we stopped offering illegal immigrants free health care and schooling for their children we could reduce the flow substantially, but I am afraid we might run the risk of growing our own illegal immigrant terrorists from this formerly hard working lot who would become upset at the lack of equal social services being supplied to them. Besides, we probably don’t have enough buses in this country to send twelve million people home and we surely can’t expect them to walk although that is how many of them got here. Do you think this whole problem is part of a French conspiracy? After all they sent us the Statue of Liberty on which Emma Lazarus’s poem is inscribed. I doubt it. It seems unlikely given that they have their own immigration problems.

What does the temporary or guest worker program proposed by the President and by some in congress really mean? Does it mean that illegal immigrants will have to work in this country until they are granted citizenship and then can stop working and go on welfare or refuse to take the low paying jobs that some corporations originally hired them for. What’s to stop these twelve million illegal immigrants from forming their own unified union and going on strike for higher wages and pension plans. Can illegal immigrants have 401K plans? Can they take tax deductions on their tax returns for foreign travel as a business expense? So many questions and no one seems to have all the answers. What would happen to our trade deficit if these people stopped buying American goods that are made in China? This thing has ramifications that none of us may have thought of. Is this what Emma Lazarus was alluding to when she said, “I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” Are we the golden scapegoat for the world? Why not try to reverse the trend by helping Mexico employ their own citizens at a good living wage. We could even institute a buy Mexican policy. It might be cheaper than buying goods from China considering that we wouldn’t have to pay long distance freight charges.

What should we do to protect ourselves from foreign terrorists who might sneak across the border with all the peaceful and hard working immigrants? Perhaps we should install an honor system instead of a wall of National Guard troops on their two-week summer tour of duty. We could ask all the illegal immigrants to report any terrorists crossing over with them – anonymously of course. Another approach that might work is to require all illegal immigrants to travel lightly. We should limit them to one small carry across the border type bag and allow nothing big enough to conceal a bomb. Probably something the size of a passport wallet would be safe.

Another approach would be to make Spanish our primary language instead of English. That way so many of us wouldn’t be able to understand our utility bills that we might have to migrate to England to find a commonly spoken language, then let’s see who revolts against whom. The only problem with this scenario is that the Muslim minority in England might object to being overpowered by a new bunch of migrating American Christians. I almost forgot to mention the negative affect this transmigration might have on our national sovereignty, but then we are not talking about a flock of birds, are we? We are talking about a mass of humanity. When Emma Lazarus spoke of “the wretched refuse of your teaming shore”, do you think she had us, or the illegal immigrants in mind?

You might well ask where God comes into this whole mess. I believe it goes back to my belief that this is God’s homeland every bit as much as it is ours. I can almost see Him using the poet Emma Lazarus’s famous words, “send these the homeless, tempest-tost to me” as His own. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if God put those words in Emma Lazarus’s mind. Maybe we should find a way to honor the words of the poet and the thoughts of God at the same time. How about making all these illegal immigrants legitimate citizens of God’s world. They are anyway, aren’t they? There has got to be a better way to protect the rights of American citizens and at the same time give comfort to these struggling masses of immigrants. Can we look to God for the inspiration to find the answers?

The War In Iraq - Is This God's Will?

Search For God
Is bringing democracy to Iraq in accordance with God’s wishes? I’ve heard a lot about God’s Kingdom, but I never heard anyone call it God’s parliament or congress. When did the concept of spreading democracy and freedom in the Middle East become a basis for faith in the righteousness of going to war? When did God sanction the concept of a preemptive war to promulgate American interests? When did this war become God’s will?

When President Bush was asked by Bob Woodward of the Washington Post if he had consulted with the former President before ordering the invasion of Iraq, Bush replied that, “ he is the wrong father to appeal to in terms of strength; there is a higher father that I appeal to.” But can we hold God responsible for everything. I think that sometimes we have to take responsibility for our own actions.

I think that people that go to war usually believe that they have God on their side no matter which side they are on. But does God actually take sides in conflicts that involve different philosophies or religious beliefs? Aren’t we all God’s children? Why would He want us to fight with and kill each other?

I always thought that both Christian and Muslim religions preached love and kindness for other people. Perhaps it is the more radical elements within each religion that preach the concept of my way or the highway. Is it the will of the people to allow our religious beliefs to be radicalized or have we allowed small fanatical elements in both religions to seize control of our emotions and force us into a war we really don’t want and don’t believe in, using the name of the Almighty whether it is God or Allah.

Recent polls indicate that more than sixty percent of the American public doesn’t believe in the war with Iraq. The cost of the war includes twenty-four hundred Americans killed, seventeen thousand wounded, and more than thirty thousand Iraqis killed. Is this terrible price in terms of lost humanity God’s will? The cost of the war in money to America is more than six billion a month, presumably at the expense of domestic social projects. The cost in suffering and stress to all people of good faith seems to me to be incalculable and too high. Is it God’s will that America bring freedom and liberty to the whole world whether or not they want to be liberated?

Recent surveys indicate that approximately eighty percent of Iraqis want American forces out of their country. They view us as occupiers not liberators. If democracy in some form is to come to Iraq, I don’t believe Americans can force it down their throats. The country seems poised at the brink of a civil war. We had our own civil war. I don’t think it is our business to participate in another countries internal conflicts. One has to question whether our participation in what may well turn out to be a fiasco in the name of democratization is really God’s will.

How can we justify or rationalize creating insecurity in another country to foster a greater sense of security in our own country? Is this God’s will? I think that instead of forcing our opinions and western style democratic beliefs on people of other religious backgrounds in Muslim countries, we would be better served to learn how to live in peace with people who do not have a democratic tradition and do not share our philosophies or beliefs on separation of church and state in government. Is it God’s will to remake Muslim beliefs into an American style Christian-Judaic political ethic?

Perhaps it is time to turn inward and look into our own souls to find the mercy and kindness that I believe to be God’s will. Perhaps it is time for America to stop trying to remake the world in our own image. Perhaps it is time to give peace a chance. Perhaps it is time to try asking God for his guidance in this matter instead of predetermining and interpreting His will in accordance with our own personal desires and philosophies. Maybe what we have to do is to have a little more compassion and understanding for other people’s point of view.

Sick And Tired

Search For God

I’m sick and tired of people telling me what to think and how to believe in God. It’s my choice and I think it is your choice too. Why can’t people be happy with the belief systems they have and stop trying to impose their views on other people. It’s none of their business what my politics are and how I choose to worship the Almighty.

I also believe that if people were a little less absolute in their opinion of how this world should be run, we might all be in better shape.

Let’s stop telling other people what to do. Let’s just ask them to be kind and caring towards each other. Let’s allow everyone to decide for themselves what their beliefs are.

I think when we do this we will soon realize that we have more in common than we thought. We have a common bond as human beings. We have a common interest in making our world a better place. Let’s express it in a search for the God of our individual dreams.

Stop Shouting – God Can Hear You

Search For God

It isn’t necessary to make your presence known. God knows that you are here. He knows what you are thinking. If you have faith there is nothing to worry about. If you are still searching for the God of your dreams, that’s okay too, at least God will know that you are reaching out to him. All you really have to do is to keep Him in mind.

Stop worrying about the small unimportant things in your life, and start to concentrate on what is really important – your search for God. That way you can make sure that He is getting your message.

Are you getting His?

Do you have Faith?

Search For God

I think that most of us believe in God in one way or the other. The real question is how strong is your faith in Him? I know that sometimes events occur that make us question our faith, but this is exactly the time when you need to believe in God the most so that you can take comfort from His caring and kindness.

Shocking God

Search For God

God must be shocked at what He sees going on around here.

People killing each other for different religious philosophies. Suicide bombers blowing themselves and innocent people up to prove a point. People fighting for the right to live in the part of God's country that they want to call home. Big corporations selling God's resources for outrageously high prices.

Where will it all end? Is this what God wants, or are we making a mess out of His grand design? Nobody seems to have all the answers, but God does. Isn't it time we started listening to the words of God? Isn't it time we started searching for His answers to help us solve our problems?

Immigration -- Can God Inspire Us To Solve The Problem?

Search For God

Is the spirit of “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” still alive and well in God’s country?

Talk about “huddled masses”, what do you call twelve million illegal immigrants? Is this what the poet Emma Lazarus had in mind when she used the term?

What’s to stop these twelve million illegal immigrants from forming their own union and going on strike for higher wages and pension plans? Can illegal immigrants have 401K plans? Can they take tax deductions on their tax returns for foreign travel as a business expense? So many questions and no one seems to have all the answers. What would happen to our trade deficit if these people stopped buying American goods that are made in China? Perhaps we should institute a buy Mexican policy. It might be cheaper than buying goods from China considering that we wouldn’t have to pay long distance freight charges and it might encourage some of the illegal immigrants to go home to find jobs.

What should we do to protect ourselves from foreign terrorists who might sneak across the border with all these peaceful and hard working immigrants? Perhaps we should install an honor system instead of a wall.

You might well ask where God comes into this whole mess. I believe it goes back to my belief that this is God’s homeland every bit as much as it is ours. I can almost see Him using the poet Emma Lazarus’s famous words, “send these the homeless, tempest-tost to me,” as His own. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if God put those words in Emma Lazarus’s mind. Maybe we should find a way to honor the words of the poet and the thoughts of God at the same time.

There has got to be a better way to protect the rights of American citizens and at the same time give comfort to these struggling masses of immigrants. Why can’t we look to God for the inspiration to find the answers?

Mind Meld of The Magic Genies.

Search For God

Sometimes it takes a little fantasy to help us understand that the conflict between different religious beliefs in the East and the West has reached critical proportions

“Stretched across the vast ineptitude of my soul, I see the ever present temptation of resurrection. I can take no more of new beginnings. Can you not see how vague is our horizon? Doesn’t the glare of mankind’s failure wrench you from your thoughts of a better tomorrow? Glorious, my irascible Magic Genie brother, where are we in the cosmic theme of things? What is there left for us to do? Standing here on a transparent cloud of nature’s quirky design, what can we hope to find in the future? When will God tell us what to do?”

“My old friend Gali, my magical soul mate, my Magic Genie brother, you are as ever the old world philosopher. We can try again. We can search for a better time. We have less than nothing else to do. We can put our minds together and deduce a new beginning, if not at the very beginning, at least not at the end of humanity. Let’s meld our purpose and share the provisions of our hearts and minds to reinstate the possible. God will give us guidance.”

“I see nothing but shadows Glorious. My thoughts are too disheartened for a meeting of our minds to do any good. Woe is me, where has all the magic gone?”

“It has left us at the entranceway of a new beginning my dear friend Gali if we can only find our way. We must try again. It is God’s will.”

“But they are all gone Glorious, all our friends, their culture, their very humanity. We cannot expect to resuscitate civilization with our own shaky salvation.”

“ I guess Gali there is nothing left to do but have faith. What else is left to us?”

“Maybe you are right Glorious. What else can we do but have faith. I will try again with you. Come, join your thoughts with mine and we will try to begin again. Together we will resonate as one voice; one thought in our attempt with God’s help to resurrect humanity.”

“That’s the spirit Gali. After all, we are nothing if not free spirits.”

“This mind meld must be working Glorious. You are starting to sound like me.”

“And you Gali are starting to think like me. Isn’t it wonderful? Together we shall find the power for humanity’s salvation, and maybe even our own redemption. I can feel it, can’t you? The old magic is coming back. A new future is in the making. May we find a better way to be civilization’s guardians this time under God’s good grace. May we begin again.”

“Can you perceive it Glorious? Can you sense the strength returning to our spirit? Can you not see the vale of despair lifting? Where shall we start my old friend?”

“We must start before the final bombs fall Gali. We must go back in time. We must change the ending to find a new beginning.”

“I see, would that it were ever thus. Can we do this Glorious?”

“Do we have a choice Gali? “What are they waiting for?”

“They are waiting for final instructions Glorious. Here on the frozen Tundra of Siberia they are waiting for the command to let loose the final bombs that will end the world.

“Where will the orders come from Gali? What can we do to stop them? Why are they fighting?”

“They are fighting for different ways of life. They are fighting for religious principals. The orders will come from bunkers buried deep in the earth far from here where men of fanatical endeavor will give the orders. We can only stop them if we can show them that there is no one right way. We must show them that there has got to be a better way than destroying humanity to prove whose way is right. We must reinvigorate them with the possibility of a better tomorrow. We must give them hope Glorious. And we must do so quickly. Time my old friend is not on our side this day. We will have to split up. You must go to the West. I will go to the East. We must get them to stand down. Hurry, we are almost out of time. They are about to destroy the world. There will be nothing again - no humanity, no civilization, no hope for the future. I do not believe this is how God would have it.”

“How will I know what to say Gali?”

“Remember we are of one mind Glorious. We shall know each other’s thoughts. We shall speak as one mind. Hurry, we must find a better way. God will give us the words.”

Stop Patching Yourself Together

Search For God

A little kid came over to me at a Girl Scout meeting, and asked me if I could help her get her father to stop smoking, and would I recommend a Patch? I told her I normally don’t deal with children. I have enough trouble dealing with adults who are mostly children at heart, but I would make an exception in her case, and talk to her father if she promised not to tell anyone. I am not going to make this into a children’s hour. I spoke to her father and told him to stop patching himself together and have Faith he could stop smoking on his own. He told me he had no Faith in his ability to do so and that is why he smoked and drank. He was trying to forget how little willpower he had.

I told him I was going to repeat over and over, “you can’t win them all. You can’t expect everyone to have Faith.” I told him I had to go now. I was late for a Faith Building group therapy session for severely rattled Magic Genies who have spent too much time dealing with faithless people like him. I hope his little girl is OK. At least I don’t have to worry about your children too, do I? Stop patching yourself together. Get some faith in God to help you deal with your weaknesses.

A Good Lesson To Share With Your Children

Search For God

One evening a wise old man told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between the two wolves inside each of us.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which one wins?"

Grandfather simply replied, "The one you feed."

This could be a new beginning for all of us. I love new beginnings, don’t you? Starting over is such fun. You get the chance to make the same old mistakes in a brand new way. Are you looking to change your life? What was wrong with the old one? God always gives second chances. Are you going to make the most of things this time? I have Faith that you will, do you? Let’s begin again right now. I will promise not to be sarcastic and condescending if you will promise to have Faith. I wonder how long that will last?

VIRUSES, TERRORISM, AND BELIEFS

Search For God

I have been swamped, deluged and inundated with people’s thoughts telling me they are frightened by the possibility of terrorist attacks. They are scared of airmail toxins, viruses and nuclear explosions ruining their health and jeopardizing their lives. I am telling you people I don’t do illnesses, only social diseases. My only answer to you is to have Faith. We will overcome adversity.

Speaking of social diseases, there is one that is causing quite a stir. On this I am definitely a non- expert expert. It is called the Ostrich Virus. It isn’t airborne, but this insidious social disease leap frogs from credit card to credit card, leaving their wealthy owners trembling in fear of losing their material possessions. If you want the cure stop worrying so much about your assets.

Are you in fear of losing your possessions? If so, you are just causing the virus to spread. Do you judge your accomplishments solely in monetary terms? Come alive my friends, having Faith will give you all the credit you need. There, don’t you feel more secure now? Doesn’t having Faith make you feel prosperous? You will if you just believe in God.

Faith Or Inspiration – Which Comes First?

Stop Beating Yourself Up

Search For God

It is time to stop berating yourself because other people claim they are the only people of faith, and you don’t think you have the right to make the same claim. You have as much right as anyone else to be a person of faith as long as you believe in God in your own way.

Being a person of faith is not a matter of which religion you adhere to, it is a matter of what is in your heart. If you truly believe in God, then you have the right to claim that you are a person of faith.

Isn’t it time you started letting people know that you are a person of faith?

Chapter 2 Stripping Away Your Inhibitions Part 3

Search For God

You have to learn:
1. Not to give in to your fears that something will go wrong if you do not follow a set format. Don’t be afraid to change lifelong patterns of behavior.
2. You have to start to believe in yourself. Admit to yourself that you are a good and worthwhile person who is entitled to have his or her dreams come true.
3. Exercise your right to conjure up from the deepest resources of your mind those imaginative thoughts that can improve your life and those of your loved ones.
4. Analyze those imaginative thoughts that may seem out of context with your basic beliefs, and see if you can find a way to reconfigure them so that they can provide a framework for you finding more faith in God. Use these released thoughts to help you find more faith. Use your God given right to make a choice.

Stripping away your inhibitions can help you open your heart to God. It can help make you feel free. It can help you find more faith. I know that you’re thinking that it’s hard to change. But sometimes it is harder to stay in the rut of limited possibilities. Take the easy course to finding more faith in God, and strip away your inhibitions.

Chapter 2 Stripping Away Your Inhibitions Part 2

Search For God

Why else would the good Lord have given us the power of independent thought? Why else would He allow us the right to make choices about how we believe in him? Strip away your inhibitions and allow freedom of choice to frame a new response to your quest for more faith.

Most of us do things out of a sense of tradition. Many of us belong to organized religions that provide us with rules to live by. This is good because it gives us a basic set of values and beliefs, but we have to learn to go beyond what we have been told in order to discover what we truly believe. We have to learn to question ourselves to help us find more faith. We can use our traditional beliefs to help us form a foundation for finding more faith. We have to strip away our inhibitions so that we can expand out horizons.

In order for you to unlock your imagination and realize your promise, (that which is special about each of us individually), that each of us has to do more with our lives, you have to strip away years of inhibitions that have been keeping you from fulfilling your dreams.

These are excerpts from my book the “Faith Patch Manual.” You can preview the book by clicking on the link on the sidebar titled “Find More Faith In God” or by going to www.faith-patch.com.

Chapter 2 Stripping Away Your Inhibitions Part 1

Search For God

Do you ever wonder if you are doing the right thing? When you learn how to strip away your inhibitions you will learn what your options are, and which ones are right for you to follow.

Take the ‘little leap’ of faith that let’s you understand that only God can decide what is right and what is wrong.

Many of us spend too much time trying to live by a set of rigid standards that inhibit us from discovering our true feelings. It’s important to have a moral set of standards by which we live our lives, but we shouldn’t be so set in our ways that we aren’t willing to explore new thoughts and formulate new patterns of behavior.

Stripping away our inhibitions starts with a question. Ask yourself why am I doing things this way? Ask yourself if there is a different and better way for me to think about my life and its purpose so that I can find more faith. Ask yourself if you are doing things in a certain way solely because of family traditions or because of religious background or because you truly believe in the code of conduct you are adhering to. If you are secure in your beliefs as they are now you probably wouldn’t be reading this to help you find more faith. Allow yourself to question why you do what you do and how you can expand upon good and worthwhile traditions and religious beliefs to help you find more faith. Open your heart to God.

Take the ‘little leap’ of faith that allows you to admit to yourself that there may be more than one way to find God.

These are excerpts from my book the “Faith Patch Manual.” You can preview the book by clicking on the link on the sidebar titled “Find More Faith In God” or by going to www.faith-patch.com.

Motivated And Inspired To Find God

Search For God

When was the last time you found yourself really motivated to find God? When did you have finding God on your top ten list of things to do? When was making a search for the God of your dreams a top priority? When was the last time you felt inspired to search for God?

You need to get motivated to find God. You need to understand how important a part God plays in your life. You need to get inspired to find your faith.

You remember what being truly motivated feels like, don’t you? The feeling you get when you are absolutely convinced that you can do no wrong, the feeling that takes over your mind and your soul when you become convinced you have to have some possession, or relationship, or new job. You remember that a key part to your becoming motivated was your firm belief that you could do it, that you had the ability, and of course that you had the motivation to accomplish your goal.

Sometimes we have to use our imagination to motivate us to find the God of our dreams. Sometimes we have to imagine how wonderful it will make us feel to become people of faith. Sometimes we have to invent a symbol of our faith in God to motivate ourselves to find the inner peace that believing in God can bring us. Sometimes we have to create something special to help inspire us to feel wonderful.

In my case I was inspired to create a faith-based Magic Pill to help motivate me to find my faith. Couldn’t we all use a little magic and faith in our lives right now? As a gesture of my faith in my fellow man I have infused this Magic Pill with my faith for all to share if you can believe that. When you infuse it with your faith it will become a unique collectible that may help motivate and inspire you in your search for God. It even comes with faith building instructions and a Certificate of Sharing so that you can express your faith in God to a family member or loved one. You can get your own Magic Pill free on my Web site to help motivate and inspire you.
